The Memorial Healthcare System - South Broward Hospital District is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide courier services throughout their facilities, including hospitals, outpatient facilities, and physician practices. The scope of work includes daily routes, scheduled routes, stat requests, and deliveries as needed, as well as deliveries and pickup locations outside of MHS locations. The services are categorized into three groups: Group A - Pharmaceutical and Medical Supplies, Group B - Lab Specimen, and Group C - Mail Courier Services. The successful contractor will be required to provide all equipment and labor to pick up and deliver various items, including inter-office materials, small bags, parcels, US mail, and certified mail. • The contractor must provide transport of blood specimens, whole blood, temperature-sensitive shipments, pharmaceutical products, medical and surgical instruments, laboratory results, and other items as mutually agreed upon. • The contractor must work with the client to enable the collection of delivery acceptance and signatures on the client's software. • The contractor must provide lab specimen courier services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. • The contractor must provide all necessary items to provide lab specimen courier services and handle blood, blood products, and other specimen types.
