The District of Columbia is seeking a construction manager to provide professional construction management support services for the design, construction, commissioning, and turnover of the new Complex at RFK Sportsplex. The construction manager will support the Department in overseeing all aspects of project delivery, serving as an extension of staff to ensure accountability, transparency, and alignment with Department standards. The scope of work includes managing the construction effort, schedule management, cost controls, change order management, and conducting on-site quality inspections and observations. The project will be a state-of-the-art public facility planned as part of the broader RFK Stadium redevelopment, designed to expand equitable access to indoor athletic and community programming in the District. • The construction manager will provide subject matter expertise to fill the required labor categories included under this scope. • The construction manager will assist the Department in overcoming obstacles and delays related to the project and utilize commercially reasonable efforts to guard the Department and the Client Agency from cost overruns and avoidable project delays. • The construction manager will provide leadership and oversight for the day-to-day operations for all construction, project management, and project administration activities associated with the project. • The construction manager will assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to achieve established goals and support DGS's mission.
