Mt. San Antonio College is seeking a consultant to provide accessibility and universal design services on an as-needed basis. The consultant will provide comprehensive accessibility and universal design services to support new construction, renovations, and facility upgrades. The scope of work includes accessibility and universal design consultation, plan review and compliance assessment, and accessibility site surveys and evaluations. The consultant will be responsible for delivering practical, innovative, and compliant accessibility solutions that promote inclusivity, enhance user experience, and ensure long-term regulatory compliance for each project. • Provide expert guidance on inclusive design principles • Develop design solutions that exceed minimum accessibility requirements • Assist in the selection of materials, fixtures, and features that enhance accessibility • Review architectural and site plans for compliance with accessibility standards • Conduct comprehensive field surveys to assess interior and exterior access routes • Identify barriers to accessibility and provide corrective action and transition plans The consultant will work on a project-by-project basis, with each project having its own scope of work and compensation. The initial term of the contract will be for five years, with the option to extend for up to four additional one-year periods.
