Description:
The Detroit Regional Convention Facility Authority is seeking a licensed and certified electrical contractor to provide electrical services for the Huntington Place Convention Center in Detroit, Michigan. The contractor will be responsible for providing hourly rates and material markup for indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity projects. The contract term is five years, and the owner is looking for a contractor who can demonstrate capability through their company's history, staff, and management team. The contractor must be able to provide qualified, licensed, and experienced personnel to fulfill the requirements of the bidding documents. The scope of work includes troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems, including EMT, rigid and PVC conduit installation, pulling and terminating cable, and installation of lighting, receptacles, switches, and fire alarm devices. The contractor must also be able to work in harmony with other elements of labor employed or contracted at the facility. • The contractor must be licensed to perform the required work in the State of Michigan. • The contractor must have been in business full-time for the last five consecutive years. • The contractor must have a qualified key individual to coordinate all activities performed and provide services. • The contractor must have insurance coverage, including commercial general liability, automobile liability, workers' compensation, and property insurance. • The contractor must comply with all applicable laws, rules, regulations, zoning, and building codes. • The contractor must provide a certification that neither the responding firm nor any of its affiliates, subsidiaries, officers, directors, managerial employees, or any individual who directly or indirectly holds a pecuniary interest in that business entity of 20% or more has been convicted of a criminal offense incident to the application for or performance of a contract or subcontract with a governmental entity in the State of Michigan.
