The U.S. Department of State, Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL), is seeking a Regional Maritime Law Enforcement Advisor to provide specialized maritime expertise and oversee program management aspects of the bilateral Malaysia maritime and regional maritime program. The advisor will work with maritime law enforcement officials in Malaysia and other Southeast Asian partner countries, and will be responsible for managing a multimillion-dollar annual budget, tracking and accounting for INL funding, and preparing project documentation and procurement requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience in program management, maritime law enforcement, and financial management, as well as excellent communication and analytical skills. Key responsibilities include: • Managing the INL regional maritime program and assisting with the Malaysia maritime law enforcement program • Recommending projects and activities to enhance maritime law enforcement programs in Malaysia and the Southeast Asia region • Generating and submitting regional activity project and activity proposals • Liaising with maritime law enforcement officials in Malaysia and other Southeast Asian partner countries • Administering a multimillion-dollar annual budget and managing INL funding • Preparing project documentation and procurement requirements • Providing guidance and instruction to civilian and military personnel on funding processes and reporting
