The Mississippi Development Authority (MDA) is seeking a professional service consultant to provide European investment recruitment and trade promotion services. The consultant will be responsible for recruiting foreign direct investment to Mississippi and promoting the export of Mississippi products to Europe. The scope of services includes developing knowledge of Mississippi assets, creating a recruitment plan and export promotion plan, and providing investment leads and trade promotion assistance. The consultant will also be required to attend key events, provide monthly and annual reports, and maintain a database of potential agents, distributors, and end-users. • The consultant must be based in Germany, the Netherlands, or Belgium and be willing to travel to other European countries. • The consultant will focus on recruiting European firms in the automotive, aerospace, defense, and advanced manufacturing sectors. • The consultant will also work on behalf of the Authority and Mississippi businesses to expand market opportunities for the export of Mississippi products and services. • The contract will be for a period of three years, with the option to renew for up to 24 months. • The consultant will be required to provide monthly and annual reports, including a narrative section describing activities and successes, and a numerical summary of activities.
