The Bureau of Reclamation, Mid-Pacific Region is soliciting bids to replace nine single-phase generator step-up power transformers at three power plants in Northern California. The transformers are located at the Spring Creek Powerplant, Judge Francis Carr Powerplant, and Trinity Powerplant. The contractor will be required to supply three transformers for each power plant. The work includes the removal and disposal of existing transformers and the installation and commissioning of new transformers, as well as the installation of new isolated phase bus, and seismic anchorage systems. The contract will be awarded to the responsible bidder whose bid is the lowest price that meets the requirements of the solicitation. • The transformers must meet specific requirements for losses, including no-load losses and load losses at specified voltage and frequency. • The contractor will be required to perform work during available interruption of service windows at the power plants. • The contractor will need to coordinate with the Government to schedule interruption of service windows for the replacement work. • The contractor will also need to provide a detailed construction schedule and perform the work during the specified timeframes. • The Government will evaluate the bids based on factors such as technical approach, past performance, and price.
