Description:
The City of Denton is seeking a manufacturer to provide up to five complete and fully functional 345kV autotransformers with on-load tap changers. The transformers will be used for normal outdoor electric utility operation at 60 hertz. The manufacturer must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in the U.S. market and have produced and sold 345kV to 138kV autotransformers within that same timeframe. The contract will be awarded based on the total evaluated cost of the bid, which includes the base price, losses, and adjustments for selected options. Some key features of the transformers include: • Three-phase, autotransformer design • 420/560/700 MVA capacity rating • 65°C insulation class • High voltage taps with 16 equal 5/8% steps • Oil preservation systems with conservator type and oil filtration • Copper winding material • Thermally upgraded paper or CTC cable insulation material • Noise performance with a maximum level of 65dB • Seismic data for Earthquake Probability Zone 1 The manufacturer will be responsible for providing a complete and fully functional transformer, including design, fabrication, testing, and delivery. The contract will also include a warranty period of 60 months from the date the transformer is first energized.
