The United States Air Force is seeking information on systems to upgrade or replace the Benefield Anechoic Facility (BAF) turntable. The turntable is a critical component of the BAF, allowing for the rotation of test articles within a stationary RF test range. The desired system should be capable of precision angular movement, remote operation, and integration with existing facility utility systems and equipment. The system must be able to rotate a maximum load of 375,000 pounds without deformation or precession and maintain levelness. The USAF is interested in innovative solutions that can meet the requirements outlined in the RFI. • The system should have precision angular movement with actual angular accuracy of 0.05 degrees. • The system should be able to integrate with facility control and monitoring connectivity. • The system should be able to process classified data in an RF isolated room. • The system should have an integrated 1-axis azimuth positioner offset from turntable center. • The system should be able to facilitate System Under Test (SUT) maximum wheel span footprint.
