The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District is seeking information from industry for the Houston Ship Channel, Texas Expansion Improvements Project. The project involves earthwork on Port of Houston Property to build a dredge management placement area (DMPA) at the "East (E2) Clinton" site, which is 76 acres. The work entails raising the grade to construct dikes for an upland confined placement area. The contractor should have experience with earthwork for placement areas, dike raises, and new drop outlet structures and/or weir structures. The period of performance is 365 calendar days, and the estimated construction price range is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. • The contractor should demonstrate construction experience as a prime contractor working on Dredging Material Placement Areas. • The contractor should observe the typical wet conditions associated with constructing Dredging Material Placement Areas. • The contractor should expect to use equipment with low ground pressure due to the soft/wet material in which the equipment will be operating. • The contractor should demonstrate experience conducting dike raises on dredge material placement areas. • The contractor should demonstrate experience with new drop outlet structures and/or weir structures at dredging material placement areas.
