The City of Santa Cruz is seeking a contractor to provide inspection, maintenance, and repair services for fire sprinklers in City buildings. The contractor will be required to provide all necessary labor, materials, hardware, equipment, supervision, and permits to complete the work. The contract will be for a term of 5 years with the option for 1-year extensions. The contractor must comply with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) standards and have an active C16 Fire Protection License in good standing with the State of California Contractors State Licensing Board. Key responsibilities include: • Quarterly inspections of fire sprinkler systems • Annual inspections of fire sprinkler systems • 5-year inspections of fire sprinkler systems • Repair and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems • Compliance with NFPA standards and California Building Code (CBC) standards • Provision of sufficient manpower and equipment to perform services without interfering with daily work schedules • Protection of personnel and property against injury or damage The City will provide access to facilities, reports, systems, and records necessary to complete the work. The contractor will be required to provide a list of at least 3 client references that have procured similar services in the last 5 years.
