The U.S. Government Publishing Office (GPO) requires fire door replacement services at the GPO Main Campus to maintain a safe and secure environment consistent with the highest standards. The contract will cover the replacement of two (2) fire doors as specified in the Statement of Work. The contractor shall provide all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to install fire doors in accordance with the approved drawings and specifications. The Statement of Work (SOW) will include Drawing No. 6110 for reference. All fire doors shall be fire-rated for a minimum of 90 minutes. Doors shall be constructed of hollow metal, and shall be equipped with self-closers, smoke seals, and intumescent strips, and additional features to meet NFPA 80 Standards. • The contractor is responsible for erecting barricades to restrict occupants from entering the work area. • The contractor shall provide the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) before starting the work. • The work procedure shall include, but not be limited to: removing the existing doors, inspecting the frame and damaged wall, restoring them to their original condition, preparing the openings for new fire doors, and installing new frames if necessary.
