The City of Gastonia is soliciting proposals from qualified vendors to provide predictive maintenance (PdM) services for its water supply and treatment facility and pump station equipment. The contract will be for a three-year period with options for two one-year extensions. The objective is to provide cost-effective PdM services that reduce equipment downtime by obtaining information on the actual condition of the equipment. The scope of services includes: * Vibration analysis * Infrared thermography * Motor circuit analysis * Oil analysis These services will be performed on a semi-annual or annual basis, depending on the equipment, at the following locations: * Water Supply and Treatment Plant * Mtn. Island Raw Water Pump Station * Rankin Lake Raw Water Pump Station The proposal requirements include: * Introduction and company overview * Qualifications and experience * Descriptions of services to be provided * References * Pricing information The City requires the vendor to have professional liability insurance, commercial general liability insurance, and employer's liability insurance. The vendor must also provide a fidelity bond and indemnify the City against any claims. The proposal submission deadline is December 19, 2025, and the City reserves the right to reject any and all proposals. The evaluation criteria include qualifications, experience, capabilities, technical approach, costs, and compliance with proposal requirements. The contract is expected to start on February 1, 2026, and the vendor will be required to provide reports within 15 working days of service completion. The reports will include status notes on each piece of equipment, identifying any deviations/issues found and recommended corrective action steps.
