The Waste Commission of Scott County is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to either replace or rebuild two landfill compactor units. The project includes the replacement or rebuild of a 2006 Aljon Advan 525 and a 2019 Aljon Advan 525. The minimum specifications require an operating weight of at least 100,000 lbs. The bidder must submit a fully completed bid specification sheet, including details on the differentiating features of the unit, warranty coverage, and service history requirements. The Commission will consider total life cycle cost, warranties, delivery date, service, training, safety, and references in making the award. • The bidder must be a factory authorized dealer capable of supplying service and factory guarantee. • The bidder must carry an adequate supply of parts and maintain an established local parts and service center for all units bid. • The bidder must submit a total operating cost for each new compactor bid, including maintenance costs, fuel costs, DEF consumption, and labor costs. • The bidder must submit a projected rebuild cost for each new compactor bid after 5 years 10,000 hours. • The bidder must submit references for all landfills using a landfill compactor that has been rebuilt twice.
