Description:
The City of Thomasville is seeking a Utility Billing Software Package to replace its current billing platform. The new system should be able to manage customer accounts, bill utility customers, and provide excellent software support. The city requires a comprehensive and fully integrated system that includes professional services and associated fees to implement, troubleshoot, and maintain the system. Some key features of the system include: • Dual roles as a billing system and a Customer Information System • Billing functions for essential utility services such as electricity, gas, water, sewer, stormwater, and refuse • Ability to pull in meter readings from the City of Thomasville’s Meter Data Management provider • Mobile customer service work order system • Implementation and integration of various external payment methods • Ability to create custom reports and automate reporting • Means for the collection of bad debt funds for both active and inactive customers The city is looking for a cost-effective solution that is easy to implement and manage, with a proven track record of providing similar services. The selected vendor will be required to enter into a Sales Agreement with the City of Thomasville, and any contract resulting from this RFP shall not be effective unless approved by the City Council or its designee.
