Description:
The University of Maryland is seeking information from qualified vendors regarding the replacement of their current DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management (IPAM) Platform. The university is looking for a solution that provides equal or superior functionality to their current platform, with features such as DNS, DHCP, and IPAM in a single or modular platform, support for IPv6, DNSSEC, RPZ, and DNS load balancing, and role-based access control and auditing. The solution should also have logging, reporting, and analytics tools, as well as service availability monitoring and proactive alerting. Vendors are asked to submit their response in a specific format, including an executive summary, company overview, technical response to requirements, product architecture overview, licensing and cost model, and customer references. • The university is looking for a solution that can handle a large number of DNS and DHCP transactions per second. • The solution should be able to support IPAM for a large number of records and domains. • The university is interested in a solution that has a high level of security, with features such as DNS firewall, threat analytics, and patch and vulnerability management. • The solution should be able to integrate with existing systems, such as SIEM, NAC, and cloud platforms. • The university is looking for a vendor with experience in providing similar solutions to higher education institutions.

Budget Estimate (AI):

$500,000 – $2,000,000

The budget for this opportunity is difficult to estimate, as the university is only seeking information from vendors at this time and has not provided a specific budget for the project. However, based on the scope of the project, which includes replacing the university's current DNS, DHCP, and IPAM platform, the budget could be in the range of $500,000 to $2 million. This estimate is based on the assumption that the university will be looking for a comprehensive solution that includes software, hardware, and services, and that the vendor will need to provide ongoing support and maintenance for the solution. Factors that may influence the likely payment range include the complexity of the solution, the number of users and devices that need to be supported, and the level of security and redundancy required.
