The City and County of San Francisco, Airport Commission, is seeking a design-build contractor to provide design and construction services for the Superbay Hangar Renovation Project at San Francisco International Airport. The project includes programming, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and activation of capital improvements to keep the hangar operational and minimize annual maintenance needs. The project will utilize the progressive design-build project delivery method, and the successful proposer will work with the Airport's Delivery Partners consultant to manage the project. • The project scope includes mechanical systems, structural elements, architectural elements, fire life safety systems, roofing systems, building envelope elements, utility infrastructure, and special systems. • The estimated budget for the project is $132,000,000, with an estimated direct cost of construction of $97,000,000. • The project is expected to last 1,095 consecutive calendar days, starting from the effective date indicated in the Notice to Proceed. • The City is seeking proposers with experience in design-build services for airport terminals, airplane hangars, or large span storage or maintenance facilities, and experience in managing multi-disciplined design teams and stakeholder input.
