The Defense Health Agency (DHA) is seeking industry feedback on sterilization capabilities in support of various Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs) across the United States. The DHA is considering outsourcing Sterile Processing Department (SPD) services throughout MTFs due to the critical need for sterile processing support. The RFI is looking for information on the following tasks and services: transportation of surgical instruments, complete sterile processing services, personnel to perform the process, sterile processing facilities, equipment, and inventory verification. Respondents are asked to provide information on their current capabilities, barriers to providing services, and pricing information. The DHA will use the information gathered from this RFI to inform future solicitations. Some of the key points to consider include: • The DHA is looking for sterilization services for approximately 150K trays at each MTF. • The RFI is seeking information on the types of equipment that can be sterilized, including minimally invasive surgical cases, power equipment, and micro-laryngeal instruments. • Respondents are asked to provide a capability statement addressing their medical sterilization services. • The DHA will protect proprietary and confidential information submitted in response to the RFI.
