Guadalupe County is seeking bids for the Stagecoach Road Overlay Project, Phase 1. The project consists of a 2-inch asphalt overlay of the roadway, approximately 2000 feet east of FM 465 to approximately 100 feet east of Nickerson Farms Road. The project requires all labor, materials, equipment, services, and documentation necessary to construct the project. The contract period is for one year, effective the date the contract is awarded. The county reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids. Key aspects of the project include: • Completion of the Work within 75 calendar days after the Effective Date of the Contract • Substantial completion of the Work within 90 calendar days after the Effective Date of the Contract • Liquidated damages of $500 per calendar day for delay in completion • Payment will be made within 30 days after satisfactory acceptance by the County of all completed services • The successful bidder must provide performance and payment bonds, each in an amount at least equal to the Contract Price • The successful bidder must comply with all federal, state, and local laws, statutes, ordinances, rules, and regulations.
