The City of Hays Department of Water Resources is seeking proposals for the cleaning and inspection of its sanitary sewer system. The proposal should demonstrate how the firm can best satisfy the requirements of the City of Hays. The project includes approximately 118,198.53 linear feet of sanitary sewer lines, ranging from 6 to 18 inches in diameter. The successful contractor will be required to provide television inspection data and perform root removal, chemical root treatment, protruding tap removal, and pipe descaling as needed. • The contractor will be responsible for mobilization, labor, materials, and equipment required for the removal of sediment, rocks, sludge, debris, grease accumulations, root obstructions, and protruding lateral connections from the sanitary sewer line segments. • The contractor will be required to provide a daily log to record the location of manholes and sewer lines, lengths of lines cleaned, method of cleaning, and type of debris removed. • The contractor will be required to update the city on the status of the project via email each Friday. • The city will provide an export of a shape file including all lines, upstream and downstream manholes, ALT ID’s, streets, pipe sizes, and pipe materials that are included in the project. • The contractor will be required to provide 5 sample CCTV visual snapshots with the submitted bid.
