Description:
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is hosting an Industry Day for the West Point - Thayer Hall Demolition and Construction Project. The project involves the deconstruction and reconstruction of the historic Thayer Hall, replacing later additions while repairing the building's original architectural integrity. The new facility will provide modern instructional, administrative, and support spaces. The project is anticipated to exceed $500 million in construction costs and will be awarded in FY27. The Industry Day will include a project overview presentation, site visit, and one-on-one meetings with the Project Delivery Team. • The project requires demolition and reconstruction of a 350,000 square foot, four-story, Gothic Revival-style structure built in 1911. • The project must meet DoD and historic preservation standards. • The project will integrate advanced building systems and adhere to accessibility and sustainability standards. • The project has a complex technical and coordination complexity, including utilities, historic granite façade, and space constraints. • The project will use an Integrated Design & Construction (IDaC) procurement method, similar to Construction Manager at Risk methodology. • The project will have a fixed-price incentive type contract, evaluated using best value tradeoff source selection evaluation procedures.
