Description:
The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) PMA-280 intends to negotiate and award a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Delivery Order to Raytheon Missiles & Defense (RMD) to procure new fuzes in support of recertification for the Tomahawk Missile System. The service life limits are driving the requirement to replace the fuze during missile recertification. • The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. • RMD is the sole designer, developer, and producer of the Tomahawk Cruise Missile and is the only known source that possesses the requisite knowledge and expertise required to perform this effort within the required schedule. • The data associated with the Tomahawk Missile is export controlled and is not available to foreign sources or representatives. • Responses to this notice can be sent via email directly to Zacerry Herbert at zacerry.g.herbert.civ@us.navy.mil.

Budget Estimate (AI):

$1,000,000 – $10,000,000

The budget amount for this contract is not specified in the document. However, considering the complexity and the specialized nature of the Tomahawk Missile System, the budget amount could be substantial. The contract is for a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) Delivery Order, which suggests that the budget amount will be fixed and not subject to change. The factors that may influence the likely payment range include the number of fuzes to be procured, the production costs, and the profit margin of the contractor. Based on these factors, the budget amount could range from $1 million to $10 million.
