The Claxton Elementary Paving Project involves the replacement paving of the entire parking lot at Claxton Elementary School, located at 241 Merrimon Ave, Asheville, NC 28801. The project requires milling existing asphalt, adding ABC stone as needed, paving with 2" of S9.5C hot mix asphalt, compacted, and restriping to existing conditions. The estimated total area of the parking lot is approximately 1,650 square yards. The project also includes disposal of waste, and the contractor is responsible for measuring actual square yardage. • The project requires compliance with all laws, ordinances, codes, rules, regulations, and licensing requirements applicable to the conduct of the contractor's business. • The contractor must provide a Certificate of Liability Insurance naming the District as an additional insured. • The contractor must comply with the requirements of G.S. Chapter 64, Article 2 (the "E-Verify Requirements"). • The contractor must indemnify and save harmless ACS, its officers, agents, and employees from and against any and all suits, actions, legal proceedings, claims, demands, damages, costs, expenses, and attorneys' fees to the extent resulting from a willful or negligent act or omission of the Bidder, its officers, or agents.
