The City and Borough of Juneau is seeking a consultant to provide contract administration and inspection services for the Gruening Park Generator Building project. The consultant will ensure that the contractor constructs the work in accordance with the drawings and specifications. The scope of work includes constructing a new building to house a future generator for the Gruening Park Sewer Lift Station, including block masonry building, associated electrical work, site development, and other miscellaneous items of work. The consultant will provide contract administration, inspection services, materials testing, and quality control. • The consultant will respond promptly to requests from the CBJ Project Manager and attend project-related meetings. • The consultant will prepare all necessary documents to support periodic pay estimates for the work accomplished by the contractor. • The consultant will provide coordination with adjacent property owners and the public during construction. • The consultant will verify that the contractor has provided required public notices to emergency services agencies and the public. • The consultant will provide notice to all property owners and the CBJ General Engineering Division when new water or sewer permits are obtainable. • The consultant will maintain daily records of the events occurring and prepare a daily report summarizing the day's activities.
