The Federal Bureau of Prisons is seeking a contractor to repair a sewer line at the Metropolitan Correctional Complex (MCC) Chicago. The project involves replacing approximately 75 linear feet of existing 8" clay sewer line with 8" x 8" heavy cast iron pipe. The work must be performed with minimal downtime, and the contractor must comply with local, state, and federal regulations. The performance period for the project is 38 calendar days from the issuance of the notice to proceed. • The project requires precise utility locating, excavation to a depth of 6 feet, trench shoring, and protective barricades. • All pavers and landscaping materials will be removed and restored to their original condition upon completion. • The sewer system must be tested and backfilled upon successful completion. • The contractor must attend a pre-work meeting to coordinate and plan with the on-site staff prior to the day of work. • The contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) and have a valid Marketing Partner Identification Number (MPIN).
