The Perimeter Community Improvement Districts (PCIDs) are seeking a consultant to conduct a feasibility study for last mile transit connectivity within the DeKalb and Fulton Perimeter CIDs. The study will evaluate and recommend alternatives for on-demand microtransit services, autonomous shuttle services, and vanpool services. The consultant will assist the PCIDs in researching, evaluating, and recommending service delivery alternatives within the four-square mile PCID boundaries. The scope of work includes developing alternatives, comparing them, and providing findings and recommendations. The budget for the project is not to exceed $225,000, and the contract will be for a period of one year, commencing ten working days from receipt of notice to proceed. Key aspects of the project include: • On-demand microtransit alternatives and feasibility • Autonomous transit shuttle feasibility • Vanpool enhancement feasibility • Coordination with affected parties • Schedule and budget planning The PCIDs are looking for a consultant with experience in similar feasibility studies, especially those that led to the implementation of a transit service or project. The consultant should demonstrate experience in evaluating and recommending alternatives for transit services and have a strong understanding of the technical, operational, and financial aspects of transit services.
