The project involves horizontal directional drilling for water line installation at two locations in Brunswick County, North Carolina. The first location is at 1225 Holden Beach Road SW, Supply, NC 28462, where approximately 300 linear feet of 12-inch waterline will be drilled. The second location is at 3261 George II Highway SE, Southport, NC 28461, where approximately 245 linear feet of 10-inch waterline will be drilled. The contractor will be responsible for installing the waterlines, performing pressure tests, chlorination, and bacteriological testing, and restoring the service. The contractor must also establish traffic control, seed and mulch the site, and ensure that the work is completed within 60 days of issuance of a Notice to Proceed. • The project is funded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the contractor must comply with all applicable federal laws, regulations, and executive orders. • The contractor must have an active registration in the federal System for Award Management (SAM.gov) and provide proof of such registration with the submitted bid. • The contractor must agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Brunswick County, its officers, employees, and agents from and against any and all losses, penalties, damages, settlements, costs, charges, professional fees, or other expenses or liabilities of every kind and character arising out of or relating to any and all claims, liens, demands, obligations, actions, proceedings, or causes of action of every kind in connection with or arising out of this Agreement and/or the performance hereof.
