The Westbury Union Free School District is seeking a law firm (or single firm) to serve as its General Legal Counsel and/or Labor‑Relations Counsel for a one‑year term beginning July 1 2026, with the possibility of annual renewals through 2030. The firm will advise on a wide array of education‑related legal matters, represent the district in hearings and litigation, draft and review contracts and policies, and provide labor‑relations support for multiple bargaining units. Additional duties include conducting seminars, attending Board meetings, and monitoring legislative changes. The district requires NY‑state bar admission, specific insurance coverages, conflict‑of‑interest certifications, and MWBE reporting.
