The St. Lucie County Board of County Commissioners is seeking a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for general construction services for the construction of a medical examiner facility with a morgue. The project includes the construction of a new facility and related site improvements, with features such as autopsy suite, laboratory, morgue, evidence, records, offices, reception, lobby, break room, shower rooms, restrooms, locker rooms, meeting rooms, and secure separation of public areas, law enforcement areas, medical examiner staff areas, intake, staging, transport, and storage. The facility will also include safety shower/eye wash, biohazard material storage cooler, biohazard material storage freezer, covered loading dock, surface parking, razor wire fencing, and electronic sliding secure vehicle gates. • The project is located in St. Lucie County, Florida. • The facility will accommodate future growth. • The project includes a logistics room, dormitory rooms, debriefing room, classroom, and news media room. • The construction services will be provided for a multi-building campus compound with public parking, staff parking, law enforcement parking, secure vehicle access, loading dock, and mobile cooler staging.
