The City of Oxnard is seeking a consultant to provide architectural design services for the improvement of Seaview Park. The proposed improvements include upgrading and expanding the recreational, social, and environmental features of the park, making it more accessible, enjoyable, and sustainable for the community. The scope of work includes removing and replacing playground equipment, retaining walls, restrooms, and other amenities, as well as installing new lighting, shade covers, and a continuous walking trail. The selected consultant will collaborate closely with the Seaview Neighborhood Council, Public Works Divisions, City Park Dept., and other City departments and stakeholders. • Remove and replace playground equipment • Remove and replace existing wooden retaining wall with reinforced concrete retaining wall • Demolish, remove, and replace existing restroom with a new prefabricated restroom unit • Install new low-level lighting in the park • Remove and replace existing Gazebo, picnic tables, benches, and barbeques • Install shade covers over other picnic areas • Construct a new continuous walking trail around the park perimeter with native landscape between the trail and sidewalk • Evaluate and repair or replace existing concrete walkway as needed
