Description:
The Salinas City Elementary School District is seeking proposals for Cybersecurity services and equipment at 16 sites for its Cybersecurity Pilot Program application. The term of the contract shall be for a period of 3 years, renewable each year, beginning on the date the final pilot application is approved by USAC. The contract may be cancelled with thirty-day prior written notice. The district is looking for a Managed Detection and Response (MDR) solution to be implemented across 14 school sites and 2 non-instructional facilities. The MDR solution must provide comprehensive 24/7/365 network monitoring, threat detection, incident response, and cybersecurity management, operated by an external Security Operations Center (SOC). • The MDR solution must support the district in detecting, analyzing, and responding to cyber threats such as malware, ransomware, phishing, data loss, and unauthorized access attempts. • The MDR solution must include licensing for MDR Platform License with 24/7 SOC access, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) agents, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) integration, Threat Intelligence Feeds, Automated Incident Response and orchestration features, and Centralized management dashboard. • The proposal must include a minimum 1-year license, with optional renewal pricing for up to 3 years. • The vendor must provide initial setup and configuration of MDR system and endpoints, deployment support for hardware, integration with existing infrastructure, incident response planning and tabletop exercises, and monthly reporting and analytics.

Budget Estimate (AI):

$500,000 – $2,000,000

The budget for this opportunity is difficult to estimate as the document does not provide a specific budget or funding amount. However, considering the scope of the project, which includes the implementation of a Managed Detection and Response solution across 16 sites, the estimated budget could be in the range of $500,000 to $2,000,000. This estimate is based on the assumption that the district will be investing in a comprehensive cybersecurity solution, including software, hardware, and professional services, and that the funding will be provided through the E-rate program.
