The Federal Bureau of Prisons is soliciting bids for the emergency replacement of the B-Unit Chiller at the Federal Prison Camp (FPC Alderson) in Alderson, West Virginia. The successful contractor will be responsible for providing all materials, labor, and equipment to complete the project, which includes removing the existing chillers and replacing them with two new ones that have equal or greater cooling capacity and efficiency. The project is expected to take 336 calendar days to complete and has an estimated magnitude of between $500,000 and $1,000,000. • The contractor must provide a bid bond with their bid, and the bid bond penalty may be expressed in terms of a percentage of the bid price or may be expressed in dollars and cents. • The contractor must execute and submit two bonds, a performance bond and a payment bond, within 10 days after award. • The contractor must provide and maintain during the entire performance period of this contract, at least the kinds and minimum amounts of insurance required in the Schedule or elsewhere in the contract. • The contractor must submit a Schedule of Values (SOV) for the project and submit to the Contracting Officer for approval prior to submitting the first application for payment. • The contractor must participate in progress meetings at the project site on a monthly basis, or at intervals as determined by the Administrative Contracting Officer (ACO).
