The U.S. Navy is seeking a contractor to install tepid water heaters for emergency shower/eye wash stations at the pump station 1, 2, and 3 in DFSP Hachinohe, Japan. The contractor will be required to provide and install tepid water heaters, domestic cold water pipes, and tepid water pipes with electric heat tapes, pipe insulation, and provide earth-leakage circuit breakers, pull boxes, explosion-proof junction boxes, explosion-proof flexible conduits, and conduit wiring. The contractor must be duly authorized to operate and conduct business in Japan and must fully comply with all laws, decrees, labor standards, and regulations of Japan during the performance of the contract. The key scope of work includes: • Installation of tepid water heaters • Procurement and installation of domestic cold water pipes and tepid water pipes • Provision of electric heat tapes, pipe insulation, and earth-leakage circuit breakers • Installation of pull boxes, explosion-proof junction boxes, and explosion-proof flexible conduits • Conduit wiring and incidental related works The contract will be awarded to the responsible bidder whose bid, conforming to the solicitation, is the most advantageous and offers the best value to the Government considering price only.
