The University of North Carolina at Wilmington (UNCW) Athletics is seeking proposals from qualified healthcare providers to serve as the official healthcare partner and primary service provider for medical services associated with its intercollegiate sports and athletic training programs. The selected provider will be responsible for providing medical services, including injury prevention, immediate attention, and rehabilitation, as well as specialized medical care for students participating in university-sponsored auxiliary units. The provider will also be required to cooperate with UNCW athletic trainers and provide support for student-athletes. Some of the key services include: • Credentialed Physical Therapist • Sports Orthopedic Surgeon • Athletic Trainers and Continued Support • Medical Imaging /EKGs of Student-Athletes • Mental Health Support • Complementary, Alternative or Integrative Health Practices • Sports Medicine Physician Fellows (if applicable) • Event Attendance/Travel Accommodations The contract term will be for three years, with the option to renew for up to five additional one-year terms.
