The University of Washington is seeking proposals from vendors to provide smartphone-enabled bicycle locks (smart locks) that can be integrated with existing campus bike racks. The solution should improve cyclist security, provide campus transportation services with data on bike parking usage, and integrate with UW’s existing bike parking infrastructure. The selection process will consist of two phases: Phase 1 will involve a review of proposals and selection of demonstration units, and Phase 2 will involve on-site testing of the selected units.
