The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) intends to award a sole source contract to General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) for Enterprise Cloud Modernization (ECM) cloud usage and cloud professional services. The ECM is a professional services requirement to support the Infrastructure/Hosting - Cloud product, with public cloud enhancements for effective cost savings, streamlined efforts, and a purposeful investment. The contract will have a one-year base period and one one-year option period. The USPTO has a current initiative to transition from a hybrid cloud strategy to a cloud-first strategy by migrating seven petabytes of data from on-prem to the cloud by June 30, 2027. The ECM effort will allow the ECM Delivery Team to assess, migrate, develop, and deploy to the cloud using FEDRAMP-approved commercial cloud services through a single vendor with established relationships.
