Description:
The Military Sealift Command Norfolk is seeking proposals for a 60-day tanker time charter. The tanker must be capable of carrying a minimum of 235,000 bbls of clean product and meet various requirements, including having an Inert Gas System (IGS) and Segregated Ballast Tanks (SBT). The vessel must also meet certain standards for safety, security, and environmental protection. The contract will be awarded to the responsible offeror whose technically acceptable proposal represents the lowest price to the Government. • The tanker must be a double-hull tanker with a minimum capacity of 235,000 bbls. • The vessel must have an IGS and SBT. • The vessel must meet certain safety and security standards, including having a valid Safety Management Certificate and International Ship Security Certificate. • The vessel must be capable of maintaining a minimum Speed of Advance (SOA) of 13 knots in moderate weather. • The owner/offeror must provide a copy of the vessel's current and not expired Class Society issued Safety Management Certificate and Flag State issued International Ship Security Certificate. • The owner/offeror must provide a copy of the vessel's stowage plan demonstrating the vessel's ability to load a minimum of 235,000 bbls of clean product.
