Bids are sealed, with a 5 % bid bond, and the contract will be awarded to the lowest responsive bidder. • Remove existing chiller, primary/secondary pumps, related piping, expansion tank, flow meters, and refrigerant monitoring hardware. • Install a new packaged water‑cooled chiller, new primary and secondary pumps (plus backup pumps), new chilled‑water piping, flow meters, expansion tank, and a refrigerant detection system integrated with the building automation system. • Provide electrical power, controls integration, testing, adjusting, balancing, and commissioning; optional items include redundant pump package and future central‑plant piping/valves. • Compliance with Virginia contractor licensing, eVA registration, SWaM policy, OSHA/VDLI safety standards, and university site‑specific requirements (parking passes, ID cards, fencing, etc.).
