Description:
Bid documents available here: https://nystrs.bonfirehub.com/portal/?tab=openOpportunities NYSTRS will be upgrading and installing state-of-the-art audio/video (A/V) technology in its auditorium space. This space must have centralized podium controls that are easy to use and require little to no training for the average user. This Request for Proposal seeks an experienced A/V system designer and installer to provide A/V design and installation services. The auditorium is a 450-seat, single story, flat-floor multipurpose room with two (2) divisible walls. When it is configured as an auditorium, both divisible walls are open. There is an elevated stage in the front of the room with an existing podium and projection screen. This configuration is the primary function for this space. When necessary, the divisible walls may be closed to divide the room into three (3) separate spaces. This space should be flexible in audiovisual configuration, so that the area can be set up to fit separate space configuration needs. When the room is divided, A/V is only planned for use in the front division where the elevated stage is located. All other divisions should have their ceiling speakers muted when divided. The auditorium is currently equipped with an aging projector screen and a non-functioning Crestron controller system. Our current diagonal screen is 196 inches. The first row of chairs is typically 14 feet from the screen. The goal is to ensure long term reliability and confidence in the system during NYSTRS’ meetings and events. The upgrade must ensure interoperability with existing equipment. The vendor will be responsible for procuring and installing new A/V equipment, controllers, wiring and programming necessary for a fully functional system as listed in the requirements below. NYSTRS intends to make a single award to the responsive and responsible Bidder, as determined by the evaluation process. Budget Estimate (AI):

$200,000 – $500,000

The budget for this opportunity is difficult to estimate, as the document does not provide a specific budget or payment amount. However, based on the scope of work, which includes the design and installation of a state-of-the-art A/V system for a 450-seat auditorium, the budget could be substantial. Factors that may influence the likely payment range include the complexity of the A/V system, the cost of equipment and materials, and the labor costs associated with the installation. A rough estimate could be in the range of $200,000 to $500,000, considering the scope and complexity of the project.
