The Document Services Online (DSO) Sustainment and Integration Support opportunity involves providing sustainment and integration services for the DSO application, which is used by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) to support its document services. The contractor will be responsible for maintaining and updating the existing seven DSO Plug-Ins and Extensions, as well as providing support for new releases of the Market Direct Storefront (MDSF) application. The contractor will also be required to develop and implement new minor and major DSO Plug-Ins and Extensions, and to provide documentation and training to the government. The key services to be provided include project plan development, maintenance and update of existing DSO Plug-Ins and Extensions, coordination and administration of the overall DSO platform, development and deployment of new DSO Plug-Ins and Extensions, and documentation and training. Some of the key features of the DSO platform include: • The DSO application enables both print and digital communication services to be provided through a secure online ordering web application. • The DSO application is based on a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) product called Market Direct Storefront (MDSF), which has been extended via custom DSO Plug-Ins to support government-specific user authentication requirements, billing and funding requirements, outsourcing requirements, and accounting system integration requirements. • The DSO platform has processed over 833,000 orders, with an average of 57,000 orders per year, and has 126,000 registered users, with 69,995 active users. • The DSO platform has thirty-three configured print plants accepting orders and fourteen virtual storefronts. The government is seeking a contractor with experience in providing sustainment and integration services for complex software applications, as well as experience in developing and implementing custom software solutions. The contractor will be required to have access to the source code of the MDSF application and to have expertise in software development, database management, and IT infrastructure.
