The Town of Paradise is seeking a qualified engineering design team to deliver professional services for the planning, design, and permitting of a new wastewater treatment facility (WWTF) as part of the Paradise Sewer Project. The selected facility will utilize aerated lagoon treatment with land application discharge through percolation and evaporation ponds. The scope of work includes designing a WWTF that meets specific design criteria, working collaboratively with Town staff and the Owner's Agent, and supporting the environmental review process and regulatory approvals. • The WWTF will serve a population of approximately 1,500 parcels in Paradise, with an average dry weather flow (ADWF) of 40,000-100,000 gallons per day and a peak wet weather flow (PWWF) of 100,000-300,000 gallons per day. • The facility will utilize aerated lagoon secondary treatment and percolation/evaporation ponds for treated effluent discharge. • The project will require compliance with State Water Resources Control Board Order WQ 2014-0153-DWQ and other regulatory requirements. • The selected Proposer will be responsible for conducting most of the design work remotely, with occasional visits to Paradise for in-person workshops and meetings.
