The Department of Homeless Services is seeking proposals for shelter facilities for homeless single adults. The goal of this RFP is to procure high-quality, borough-based shelters that will enable clients to quickly obtain viable housing within the community. The shelters must provide transitional housing, social services, and assistance in securing alternative housing. The term of the contract will be five years with a four-year option to renew. The proposer must have tax-exempt not-for-profit status and at least three years of experience in providing social services to vulnerable populations and operating homeless residences. • The proposer must submit a proposal that includes a program background, program expectations, and a budget. • The proposer must have a 501(c)(3) IRS Determination Letter and submit a copy with the proposal. • The proposer must have experience in providing social services to vulnerable populations and operating homeless residences. • The proposer must have a plan for providing intake, case management, and residential services. • The proposer must have a plan for providing supportive services, including housing and employment placement services.
