The USDA Forest Service is preparing a solicitation RFP to provide road and drainage maintenance for various roads on the Angeles National Forest that were impacted by fires in 2024 and 2025. The scope of work includes the blading of 23.1 miles of road, restoration of existing drainage features, upsizing of 53 overside drains, and re-establishment of rolling dips on an unsurfaced road. The contract duration is anticipated to be 120 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed (NTP). • The project location is on the Angeles National Forest within the Los Angeles Gateway Ranger Districts. • The terrain can be relatively flat in a few areas and moderately hilly and steep in others. • Soil conditions vary as well, from soft and sandy to compacted and extremely rocky. • A general vicinity map will be included as an attachment to the solicitation upon issuance. • The contract will be firm-fixed-price and the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 237310 – Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction.
