Description:
The La Plata County Board of County Commissioners is seeking proposals from qualified roofing contractors and/or general contractors for the tear-off and replacement of multiple roofs at the La Plata County Fleet Maintenance and Road & Bridge Facility in Durango, CO. The project involves replacing the existing roof membrane, adding insulation, and installing a new thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) membrane. The contractor will be responsible for examining the existing insulation for moisture, removing and replacing damaged areas, and ensuring that the new roof meets current code requirements. The project must be completed by October 1, 2025. • The project consists of two roofs on the main building and one roof on the adjacent "Cold Storage" building. • The existing roof design is believed to be ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) membrane over one-half inch plywood over four inches of poly-iso insulation over one-half inch plywood over steel deck. • The contractor will be required to provide a lump sum price for the entire project, including all labor, materials, and equipment. • The contractor must have at least five years of experience installing TPO membrane roofs and be certified by the manufacturer to install the product. • The contractor must provide a statement that certifies they are not debarred, suspended, proposed for debarment, declared ineligible, or voluntarily excluded from participation by any federal or state department or agency.
