The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) is seeking a contractor to provide scrap metal recycling services. The contractor will be responsible for collecting and recycling scrap metal from VTA locations, providing electronic records of each collection, and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. The contract will be for a term of one year, with six optional one-year extensions. The contractor must have the necessary equipment, organization, facilities, and financial capability to perform the services required by this solicitation. • The contractor must provide all labor, tools, materials, and equipment necessary for the storage, pickup, recycling, or reuse of scrap metal. • The contractor must collect and recycle scrap metal from VTA locations by reuse or sale for reuse methods. • The contractor must provide electronic records of each individual scrap metal collection to VTA. • The contractor must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, orders, rules, and regulations. • The contractor must register and maintain an active registration with the US government's System for Award Management (SAM). • The contractor must use good faith efforts to replace an SBE firm with another SBE firm if the original SBE firm is rejected.
