Description:
The Naval Medical Research Unit San Antonio is seeking a contractor to provide pipette calibration services for their research laboratory. The contractor will be responsible for performing level 3 on-site calibrations for 115 single-channel pipettes, 11 8-channel multi-channel pipettes, and 15 12-channel multi-channel pipettes. The calibrations must meet the minimum requirements outlined in ISO/IEC 17025:2017. Some key points to consider are: • The contractor must have experience with pipette calibration and maintenance. • The contractor must have the necessary equipment and expertise to perform level 3 calibrations. • The contractor must be able to provide calibration certificates in digital format for each pipette. • The contractor must be able to work on-site at the Tri-Service Research Laboratory building. • The contractor must be able to meet the requirements outlined in ISO/IEC 17025:2017.

Budget Estimate (AI):

$200,000 – $500,000

The budget for this opportunity is difficult to estimate without more information about the scope of work and the requirements of the contract. However, based on the fact that the contractor will be responsible for calibrating over 140 pipettes, and the period of performance is 48 months, it is possible that the budget could be in the range of $200,000 to $500,000. This estimate is based on the assumption that the contractor will need to provide specialized equipment and personnel to perform the calibrations, and that the cost of the contract will be influenced by the level of expertise and the number of pipettes to be calibrated.
