The Cobb County International Airport – McCollum Field is soliciting bids for Airport Gate Improvements. The project involves the implementation of various airport access gate and access control system improvements. The scope of work includes the installation of new gate, arm, operator, call box, and other infrastructure, as well as the removal and disposal of obsolete equipment. The project also involves the removal and replacement of minimal portions of surrounding pavement and curb/gutter, as well as adjacent fencing. • The project has a duration of 168 consecutive calendar days. • Liquidated damages of $1,500.00 per consecutive calendar day will be assessed for failure to complete the project within the specified time frame. • The contractor must furnish a contract performance bond and a payment bond executed by a surety company. • The contractor must meet the current bid requirements of the Georgia Department of Transportation. • Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation and Small Business Participation (SBP) are encouraged.
