The Snohomish County PUD is seeking a vendor to provide a 115 kV power circuit breaker for the Maltby Switching Station. The circuit breaker must be an outdoor, SF6 puffer type, rated for operation on a nominal 115kV effectively grounded power system. The circuit breaker shall be designed for three-pole gang tripping and closing, and shall meet the requirements of the latest revision of IEEE Std C37.04. • The circuit breaker shall have a rated nominal voltage of 115kV RMS and a rated maximum voltage of 126.5kV RMS. • The circuit breaker shall have a rated continuous current of 2000 amperes RMS and an interrupting current rating of 40,000 amperes symmetrical at rated maximum voltage. • The circuit breaker shall have a rated basic impulse level of 550kV and a rated interrupting time of 3 cycles maximum. • The circuit breaker shall be equipped with devices that prevent tripping and closing when any operational pressure falls to a value below which the circuit breaker cannot safely interrupt at its full interrupting rating. • The circuit breaker shall be designed and constructed to ensure against any gas leakage, and shall have a minimum continuous thermal current rating factor of 2.0. The vendor shall provide all necessary documentation, including drawings and test reports, and shall ensure that the circuit breaker is designed, manufactured, assembled, and tested in accordance with the requirements of this specification.
