The City of Midland is seeking proposals from qualified firms to prepare and submit environmental review records for the Woody Debris Management project. The project aims to alleviate continued flooding resulting from debris flowing downstream following the catastrophic failures of the Edenville and Sanford Dams in May 2020. The selected firm will be responsible for conducting environmental review services, including initiating necessary consultations and studies, compiling information, and assisting the City in responding to public comments. The scope of work includes preparing and submitting environmental review records, conducting a minimum of one site visit, and providing the City with one bound and one unbound copy of the final environmental review record. • The project location is along the State Drain, Sturgeon Creek, and Snake Creek in Midland County, Michigan. • The proposed woody debris management activities will be conducted using standard best management practices. • The City will publish all required public notices, and the Consultant will provide the publication's text to City staff. • The Consultant will compile all necessary information in the appropriate format for the level of environmental review. • The final environmental review record will include all necessary source documentation presented in an orderly, easily understandable manner.
