The Texas Historical Commission is seeking a Construction Manager-at-Risk for the New Visitor Center, Renovations, and Site Improvements at the Eisenhower Birthplace State Historic Site. The project includes the construction of a new visitor center, renovations to three existing wood frame structures, and various site improvements. The selected Construction Manager will assist the Texas Historical Commission and its Architects and Engineers (A/E) with cost estimating, material selection, constructability, and value engineering during the pre-construction phase and provide construction phase services to complete the project. • The project has a planned budget of $2,676,000 for the visitor center and $1,200,000 for site improvements and renovations. • The Construction Manager will be responsible for attending meetings, consulting on plan reviews, and providing cost estimates. • The project will be administered by the Texas Historical Commission, and respondents will be evaluated on experience, qualifications, and fees. • A mandatory pre-proposal conference will be held on July 10 and 11, 2025, and attendance is required for all respondents. • The contract term will be 3 years with optional 2-year renewal periods.
